Your support of the Victorian Lands Alliance ensures it's continued campaign to actively influence government decisions over better managment of public land.

We are currently collecting funds to progress our fuel management campaign 'No Fuel No Fire'.

We have to date, held ten community meetings around Victoria that have had the input of hundreds of Victorians.  We are also now on the second print run of No Fuel No Fire bumper stickers, which means there are now 45,000 cars on the road helping to spread the message about fire prevention.

This fighting fund will provide the necessary dollars to promote this public land fuel reduction campaign to help inform the general public of this very necessary land management tool that is currently grossly under utilised.  It is imperative that as many Victorian residents as possible become aware of the necessity for the government to change their current land management policy to make Victoria a safer place to live and 'the place to be'.  

Current fire managment and prevention policies have seen incremental improvements over the years, but have avoided the hard management decisions despite many in the community pointing to sensible targets for fuel reduction burning as a means of managing the bush.   It is time for the ordinary man to have his say:  the farmer, the local businessman, the student and the housewife. 

No Fuel No Fire provides the opportunity for them to do so. 

Victorian Lands Alliance is facilitating meetings around the state assisted by local  communities who are concerned about the lack of current responsible public land management (see the Campaigns page).

This recently formed alliance is the only non-government, not-for-profit group in Victoria that is active in policy development with regard to public land management that tries to balance the needs of the community and the environment. 

It is abundantly clear to the Victorian public that a new paradigm in public land management is required so all Victorians feel confident that their communities are safe and sustainable. 

Victoria's government cannot be allowed to continue to manage land under the current flawed model.
